Community
Rules

Vibesim is a place to build, share, and explore. These rules exist to keep it creative, safe, and worth coming back to.

Geographic Access Restrictions

Vibesim does not implement ID-based or biometric age verification. Certain jurisdictions have enacted laws requiring such systems from online platforms. Users in those jurisdictions are prohibited from registering or using this service, as we cannot legally comply with local verification mandates. This list is updated as legislation is enacted or takes effect.

01

Be a Decent Human

Treat every member of this community with respect. Harassment, hate speech, targeted abuse, and discrimination based on race, gender, sexuality, religion, nationality, or disability are not tolerated in projects, comments, or anywhere on the platform.

02

No Harmful or Illegal Content

You may not publish or distribute content that depicts or facilitates sexual abuse of minors (CSAM) — this is a zero-tolerance violation resulting in immediate permanent ban and a report to relevant authorities.

Beyond that, content that promotes or instructs real-world violence, self-harm, or terrorism is prohibited, as is content that constitutes malware, phishing, or any attempt to compromise visitor devices or accounts.

Content that infringes on copyright, trademark, or the intellectual property rights of others is also prohibited.

03

Keep Projects Honest

Don't misrepresent your project as something it isn't. Deceptive UI patterns such as fake download buttons, misleading prompts, and fake system dialogs are not permitted. Projects that impersonate other platforms, services, or real people are prohibited.

04

Respect Privacy

Do not publish, collect, or exfiltrate personal information about others without their consent. Projects must not attempt to harvest credentials, financial data, or any personally identifiable information from visitors.

05

No Spam, Platform Gaming, or User Funneling

Don't post low-effort spam, duplicate projects, or content designed purely to inflate view counts or storage bonuses. Don't use bots or scripts to artificially boost metrics. The popularity system is meant to reward genuine creativity.

External Platform Promotion

Projects whose primary purpose is advertising, promoting, or funneling VibeSim users toward an external platform, product, or community are not allowed. This applies regardless of whether the target is a competitor, a personal project, a Discord server, or any other destination. The platform is for building and sharing creative work, not for recruiting audiences away from it.

The distinction we enforce:

A game or tool that links to its own source repository, credits an external library, or mentions where a creator can be found elsewhere is fine.
A project that explores or critiques another platform as a creative or educational subject is fine.
A project whose sole or primary purpose is telling users to leave VibeSim and go sign up for, use, or join another platform or community is not allowed.
Posting the same promotional project across multiple platforms to maximize reach for an external service is cross-platform spam and is not allowed on VibeSim regardless of where else it appears.

When in doubt, ask: does this project add creative or technical value to VibeSim's community, or is it purely an ad? If it's the latter, it doesn't belong here.

06

Adult Content Restrictions

Sexually explicit content is not permitted in the public community feed. Projects containing mature themes must be clearly labeled. Any content depicting minors in a sexual or suggestive context is strictly forbidden regardless of framing or labeling.

07

Don't Abuse Shared Resources

VibeSim's AI credits, storage, and compute are shared. Attempts to circumvent rate limits, abuse free-tier credits, or exploit the storage bonus system unfairly burden all users. Such behavior may result in account suspension or termination.

08

One Account Per User

Do not create multiple accounts. Each individual may have only one VibeSim account. Creating additional accounts to evade bans, circumvent rate limits, exploit referral systems, or artificially inflate metrics is prohibited.

We actively track IP addresses and browser fingerprints to detect and prevent multiple account creation. If you are banned, attempts to create new accounts from the same IP or with the same browser fingerprint will be blocked.

If you believe your account was banned in error, contact support to appeal — creating a new account is not an acceptable way to dispute a ban.

09

Enforcement & Retroactive Application

Violations may result in content removal, temporary suspension, or permanent account termination depending on severity. We reserve the right to take action on any content or behavior we determine to be harmful to the community, even if not explicitly listed above. If you believe a project or user violates these rules, use the report button or contact us.

Rules Apply to All Existing Content

When a new rule is introduced or an existing rule is updated, it applies to all content on the platform, including projects that were posted before the rule existed. Posting a project under an older version of these rules does not exempt it from future rule changes.

A project that was acceptable when posted may be hidden from the community feed after a rule update without prior notice to the author. Hidden projects are not deleted — your files and project data remain accessible in your project manager, removed from public view only. We will make reasonable good-faith efforts to communicate significant rule changes before enforcing them on existing content, but this cannot be guaranteed in all cases, particularly for moderation actions taken at scale.

This policy exists to support moderation at scale. Requiring case-by-case exemptions for every rule update would make it impossible to maintain community standards over time.
